Centre College

We need help in identifying candidates for three extraordinary scholarship programs at Centre College. Each program provides full-tuition or full-cost funding, plus support for summer experiences and travel, to ten students per year. Similar in generosity and scale, the scholarship programs have distinct but complementary missions.

  • The Brown Fellows Program empowers ten highly accomplished students to build their own program of intellectual and personal development through independent summer projects, under the guidance of a faculty mentor and with the support of a cohort of peers. Brown fellows receive full tuition, room and board scholarships plus project funding (up to $5,000 for two summers), group travel aboard, and leadership training.
  • The Grissom Scholars Program supports ten high -achieving, first-generation college students who demonstrate significant financial need. Grissom scholars receive full-tuition scholarships, any additional aid necessary to meet financial need, $5,000 to fund experiential learning opportunities, individual mentoring from the program director, and regular group activities with other Grissom scholars.
  • The Lincoln Scholars Program seeks ten exceptional students who possess the vision, ambition, and intellect to do so. In addition to full-tuition, room and board scholarships, Lincoln Scholars participate in three funded summer expedience designed to broaden their perspective and develop their capacity for leadership.

Experience tells us that you know best who these students are! Will you consider nominating outstanding students for these awards? You may do so at https://admission.centre.edu/register/ScholarshipNomination. Application to these programs is by invitation or nomination only, so your nomination is truly consequential. I ask that you please submit nominations no later than January 15. The same form will allow you to nominate students for other scholarships at Centre as well.
