6 Days in Annapolis, MD
- The United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar is the first step in navigating your future to becoming one of our nation's next generation of leaders. Summer Seminar introduces you to life at the academy, where you will experience first-class academic, athletic, and professional training at the #1 Public college in the U.S.* For six days in June, you will be apart of the academy. You will live in Bancroft Hall, experience life on the yard and learn form some of our best midshipmen and most esteemed professors. If you are a junior in high school interested in pursuing an appointment to the United States Naval Academy, we invite you to apply for the Summer Seminar 2018.

Getting there: Travel
- Local campers will be responsible for arranging transportation to and from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.

Out-of-area campers will be responsible for arranging transportation to and from Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI). Once Campers arrive, buses and midshipmen will be on-hand to transport campers from BWI to the Naval Academy and back to BWI upon program completion. 

Tuition
- $525
Tuition includes room and board plus meals ans all clothing to be worn. Campers should plan to bring additional funds for snacks and souvenirs.

Eligibility
- The following general selection criteria are considered for summer seminar.
  • Must be a current junior in high school
  • Superior high school academic performance
  • Demonstrated achievement in athletics and extracurricular activities
  • Physically fit and in good health with normal vision

* Students are encouraged to add their test scores -  PSAT, SAT, Pre-ACT, and ACT.

Student Selection
- Summer Seminar is a highly competitive program with limited space. Students will be notified of their status by April 15, 2018.

 Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) is proud to announce our 9th annual Teen Summit! As youth begin dating, its important that they are equipped with the necessary tools to help them engage in healthy interactions. Teen summit offers parents and Teens an improved understanding of the ingredients that make up respectful relationships, as well as how to recognize the warning signs and patterns of dating violence. 

The 2018 Teen Summit will empower teens and adults to deepen the dialogue on teen dating violence, and prompt next step that will help drive "dialogue and action". Through hands-on activities, workshops, and teen- led sessions, this event will equip in hard conversations, but grow in an understanding of each other's perspectives and concerns and generate plans of action attendees can take back to their own communities.

University of Southern Californian Bovard Scholars Deadline February 16, 2018

Free program offered at no cost to the student helping high achieving students with financial need gain admission to top universities.
Students will receive free admission and financial aid guidance, comprehensive test preparation, personalized career exploration and leadership development opportunities.  The program includes an intensive, three-week residential experience during the summer on the USC campus and personal coaching throughout the college application and decision-making process, all at no cost to the student.  Our scholars engage with guest speakers, industry experts, career specialists and recent college graduates to define their personal pathway to college and beyond.
 Summer program July 15 – August 4, 2018.  During their senior year, Scholars will work with their coaches to receive support and feedback as questions arise.  The program application is open.  All interested and eligible high school juniors are encouraged to apply.  Space in the program is limited.  For more information and registration visit scholars.usc.edu

Information will be provided on admissions and financial aid, so parents are welcome to attend! At the end of the day, guests will attend the Furman men’s basketball game, courtesy of the Office of Admissions. There is no cost to participate in this program.

Catch Them Young Georgia State University

Georgia State University is pleased to announce the third year of Catch Them Young (CTY), our high school research immersion program, sponsored by the Molecular Basis of Disease (MBD). MBD bridges multiple natural and computational science departments under a common vision to create a vibrant interdisciplinary research research community on the GSU campus.

This unique pre-college summer research program provides students with a rare opportunity to get involved in cutting-edge research and hands on experiments. Students are guided and mentored by outstanding GSU faculty and graduate students and are able to participate in nearly every aspect of an active research environment, including experimentation, data analysis, collaboration, and presentations. Completion of this program gives students matchless insight and perspective about scientific research enables them to hone in critical thinking, and a scientific attitude. Indeed there is not any other pre-college summer program like CTY!

8 week summer program, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
Open to high school juniors and seniors with exceptional academic records and a high interest in science
