Youth Anti-Violence Contest 
Official Rules 

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
The Ryan Cameron Foundation presents the Youth ANTI-VIOLENCE POETRY/ART/VIDEO CONTEST. Participants in 6th-12th grade will write a poem, create a piece of artwork (painting, drawing or collage), or create a sixty (60) second DVD, offering a message on reducing bullying or reducing unsafe, distracted or reckless teen driving. Participants in Grades 6th-12th need to relate topics either TEEN SAFE DRIVING or BULLYING. The participants can draw from personal or peer experience(s). The purpose of this contest is to strengthen participants' ability to express and engage and invoke a sense of ownership in resolving these youth issues. Submissions are due by 11:59 pm ET March 1, 2017.

ELIGIBILITY FOR CONTEST AWARD ENTRY: The contest is open to youth who are legal residents of Georgia between the ages of 10 and 19 as of March 1, 2017. Past winners are not eligible to submit again until 12 months following their last winning entry. Participants must be currently enrolled in a public, private, and charter or home school. Employees of The Ryan Cameron Foundation, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion and advertising agencies, and and members of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in their same households, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. An eligible minor must have his/her parent's or legal guardian's permission to enter. Void where prohibited by law. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.


Submissions are due by March 1, 2017 and should include:

  • Completed Entry Form
  • Signed Release and Waiver
  • Typed Poem, Artwork (painting, drawing, or collage), or DVD
Please Note:
  • Limit one submission per student
  • Late and/or incomplete submissions are ineligible for the contest
  • Group submissions will only be allowed for the Video category. If a group video submission wins, then the prize money must be shared equally among the group members.
How to enter: Entries must be mailed to the Post Office Box

Poetry Category Requirements: a typed poem limited to 200 words or less
Artwork Category Requirements: submit a painting, drawing, or collage on canvas or poster board                                                            no larger than 30" x 50" in size 
Video Requirements: submit a DVD no longer than 60 seconds
